Access Chinook Charlie Fat Bike
It's not fat. It's big boned. I mean, really, really big boned. The Access Chinook Charlie Fat Bike and its massive trail footprint is a classic hardtail mountain bike, a bike style now over 30 years old, and its rich tradition of trail-slaying is realized in our very own Access Chinook Charlie. We've taken an aluminum frame and designed it with a comfortable geometry, which means plenty of standover height, so you can spend hours upon hours in the saddle. Then, we added a high performance Shimano SLX 2x10 drivetrain, Race Face Turbine cranks and rock-solid alloy components to deliver the goods with every berm, rock and root you clean. This mountain biking monster truck features an aluminum frame, a tapered head tube and rigid fork. The weight savings translate into a bike that is both easier to maneuver in and out of tight single track coers and get off the ground. We selected Kore brand components to deliver the precision you need. A 720mm wide alloy handlebar has a 5 degree back sweep and a 9 degree upsweep. An alloy stem with a 7 degree rise places your body in a comfortable position. Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes with 160mm rotors are required to slow the massive amount of rolling fat bike momentum while the 36/22 ringed 2x10 Shimano SLX drivetrain dishes out pedal stroke after pedal stroke of high quality performance and ascending or descending efficiency. Finally, burly 26" alloy rims are fitted with Vee Rubber 4" wide tires that are grooved for great traction and water syphoning ability. The Chinook Charlie is only available at Performance Bicycle.
